Freedom

This is Ianʼs first CD and is self produced and actually features Ian as the artist. It is a celebration of and includes many of the great musicians he had the good fortune to perform with over thew years. The title “Freedom” is indicative as to the artistic freedom Smith felt while doing this project. Unrestrained from the conventions of producing someone elseʼs project or in the scoring for film and theatre Smith was free to compose as he wished. He had also reached a level of artistry that allowed him freedom of thought, and the confidence to release such a project and embark on a solo artist career.
